共働きの夫妻と子ども二人の幸せな家庭が、夫の発病をきっかけに経済的に破綻。困窮の末、妻も健康を害し、生活保護の申請を決意する。
A happy double-income family with two children was suddenly brought to poverty because the husband suffered from illness. After serious effort, the wife damaged her health and decided to apply for public assistance.
経済的に余裕があるわけではないけれども、一家は楽しい毎日を送っていた。
The family were enjoying their daily life, though they were not rich.
苦難が連続する中で、周囲の人々が妻を「自己責任」と責めた。
The wife struggled so much, but many people blamed that she was suffered because of her lackness of self-responsibility.
平穏な毎日は落とし穴だらけだということに気づいた妻。
The wife recognized there were many death pits in joyful daily life.
妻は生活保護を申請するために市役所を訪れた。
At the end of this episode, the wife visited the city hall to apply for public assistance.
